Marriage is a journey

"Marriage Special"

Marriage is a journey that’s often misunderstood. While many believe they can find happiness solely through financial independence, the truth is that emotional support is what truly sustains us through life's highs and lows. This is where marriage plays a crucial role. A life partner becomes a companion, someone to share burdens and joys, someone who will be there when things are at their best and, more importantly, when they're at their worst.

There’s a common misconception that marriage, or shadi, is about losing freedom, but this isn't true. Marriage isn't about giving up your freedom; it's about choosing to share your life with someone who truly matters. When you marry, you’re not surrendering yourself—you’re choosing to bond with someone in a way that brings focus and purpose. It’s not about needing permission to live your life; it’s about building a partnership where decisions are made together, where respect and understanding guide every choice.

Being married doesn't mean you're tied down; rather, it means you no longer have to seek approval from the entire world to pursue your dreams. Instead, you find support and validation in one person, the person who stands by your side, sharing both the responsibilities and the triumphs.

As life moves forward, there will come a time when age catches up with us, when the energy of youth fades. In those moments, the true value of a life partner becomes clear. It’s not about control or restriction—it’s about the companionship that fills the quiet spaces, the hand that holds yours when strength is scarce, and the love that remains steady even when everything else changes.

Those who say that marriage is about becoming a prisoner are often the ones already married themselves. It suggests that they may not fully understand the depth and beauty of a true partnership. Don't let them mislead you. A happy life is one where you choose to share your journey with someone who cares for you just as deeply as you care for them.

Marriage isn’t a limitation; it’s an opportunity—a chance to focus, to grow, and to walk through life’s challenges with someone who will always have your back. Embrace it, and you’ll find that together, you can achieve so much more than you ever could alone.
